Coco

Hello Barbara, January 11, 2006
Sorry it's taken so long to get back. Danielle and I have been tied
up with work and getting things done after the holidays.
Any way, just want to show you a couple of pictures of Coco. She is
doing great. She is very comfortable in her cage and she sings to us all day
and night. She is starting to copy things that we say. She says hello but
very quiet. She can sound like a chicken and gives kisses when you say to.
We are so happy with her. When I bought her to the vet for the first
time for her 1st annual check-up, the doctor said that she was a
excellent grey. She didn't make a sound when the doctor took her.
Any way, I can go on and on about all the things that she does, but I
really wanted to thank you so much for breeding a grey as well as she
is. You have done a great job, we love her so much.
Here are a few pics of Coco.
Thanks again,
Jeff

I want to take the opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with my African
Congo Grey baby and with the wonderful service you have provided.
Living in New York City, without access to a car I have had to rely on
communication via e-mail. Instead of this being a problem it helped make the
whole experience of purchasing a bird an enjoyable process in which I was able
to watch my baby grow, through photos on the All About Parrots web site and
experience a running commentary from you telling me about his growth and
progress. It was evident from the start that you were an extremely competent,
professional and loving person and that raising and selling birds was more than
just a business for you. Your expertise and knowledge of birds has helped
me, a novice, become an African Grey owner with confidence, and your generosity
of spirit cannot be understated. When it came time for me to make the first
deposit on my bird, and on all future payments I had no problems with you.
I found you to be scrupulously honest and reliable.
I am sitting at my computer with my bird Cisco perched nearby. He is a happy,
healthy, intelligent boy and I love him dearly.
Sincerely,
Carol Harris CSW

Dear Barbara:
I've been meaning to send you these pictures of Buchla for
some time now. We've had such a great first year. She is a
constant delight to us and to everyone who comes in contact
with her! She is active, inquisitive, and cuddly. And a talker
too ... after one year, she can clearly
say "Hi Buchla" or "Hi Boo-Boo" and sometimes even
attempts "I love you."
When people tell me that I've "done a great job with
her," I really give the credit to you. I am so thankful
that a random search on the web led us to you and ultimately
to Buchla! We are grateful for the knowledge, skill, and
compassion that you put into raising your babies.
Please feel free to use these pictures on the web or in any
other way that might be helpful to you and include my full
name.
Many Thanks,
Bonnie Miksch

Hi Barbara
Just a quick note to let you know
all went well on the way home. He sang half of the time and
seemed pretty calm. He didn't even finish checking out the
whole new cage before he decided it was naptime. I can
understand that with all the excitement today. I hope it
wasn't too stressful for him. I'm just going to let him take
it easy the rest of the day and give him time to settle in.
Paco keeps talking to him from the other room!
Much thanks for providing me with such a quality bird.
I'm sure we'll have many great years together. Rick, Lidia , Paco and TBD

Vivian
and Billie: Celebrating Billie' s first birthday. "Mmmm-good"
My husband and
I are the proud and happy owners of a beautiful young Congo African gray parrot,
Billie, purchased from Barbara Pagano. We
feel that the happy and well-socialized bird that now shares our home is the
result of being nurtured in the warm and loving environment that Barbara
provides to her baby birds.
Before we took home our bird we were provided with valuable information on
everything from appropriate food and cage requirements, both at home and
traveling, to learning how to handle our bird. We were also provided with
a large binder to take home with us full of articles on all aspects of bird
health, welfare and behavior. Barbara has always made herself available to
us on the telephone and by e-mail with answers to our questions or just to
listen to us inform her of the latest developments—such as Billie’s expanding
vocabulary.
We feel that Barbara does a thorough job of screening prospective bird owners
and making them well informed, as well as following up with her new bird owners.
It is this kind of attention to detail that makes a good transition when
introducing a bird into its new home, and I think, the secret of Barbara’s
success over her many years of raising and placing birds.

Billie on her 3rd Birthday. "Life Doesn't Get Any Better"
Here is a
picture taken today at Billie's 3rd birthday party. She obviously liked
the muffin paper cup more than the corn meal "birthday cake"!

Isn't
this just the sweetest picture you've seen?

About Parrots
Dear
Barbara:
As
I sit here with Lucy in my arms, I am so grateful to you "surrogate mom,
Barbara" that you did such a great job in raising baby Lucy.
It has been about three weeks since the wonderful experience my kids and
I had at your cottage business when we first met Lucy. Lucy is a sweet little sun conure that stole my family’s heart.
In addition to meeting Lucy for the
first time, my children were excited about meeting your other beautiful birds.
They really enjoyed your African Grey’s "old Macdonald concert."
As evident in the pictures of my daughter and your baby cockatoo, I
honestly believe that my daughter will be a future adult bird lover.
Lucy is really enjoying herself with my keyboard and monitor right now.
She has definitely brought lots of enjoyment and laughter into our family.
My husband and mother both are very hesitant about having pets in general.
I cannot tell you how amazed I am that they both have fallen in love with our
sweet Lucy. She can definitely charm anyone.
Lucy will definitely enjoy a long healthy life thanks to your weaning method
from baby food to pellets and fruits and veggies. I am grateful for this
because my four other budgies are very stubborn about switching from seeds.
Thanks again for such a wonderful experience we had in buying our new sun
conure. Better go now Lucy is making edits as I type……
Sincerely,
Anna. …From Boston Massachusetts

Hi Barbara
I just wanted to let you know how well Tango is doing. You have made my
pet bird purchase a successful experience. He is a very people oriented
bird-thanks to you and your expertise. My husband made him a bird gym for the
top of the cage that he absolutely loves. I've heard people say they are loud
birds/ I don't feel the are loud birds. It is just that in the morning and at
night. They like to greet the day and say goodnight. That is there only way of
communicating. The sun conure is a great bird for any family.
I would recommend you to anyone who wanted to purchase a pet bird. Thank you
so much for the huge binder of bird information. It is so helpful and I read it
often. You would never get this kind of information from a pet store. I would
like to thank you for making my pet bird purchase a success. I would also like
to thank you for taking the time to talk to us about the little Suns. And also
for your constant replies to my many questions sent to you by email.
I will keep in touch to let you know how Tango is doing.
Thank you again,

To anyone interested in pet bird companionship,
Congratulations! You have chosen one of the most rewarding, entertaining and
loving hobbies. It wasn't long ago my fiancé and I decided to purchase our first
baby. We had spent the better part of two years reading all the books that we
could get our hands on before we decided on a species. We learned that every
species of parrot has its own characteristics and intellectual level, and
personality as well. We had decided to make a baby Congo African Grey our first.
We searched the internet and Pet Stores but just were not finding the connection
that we were looking for. Some birds were sickly and some shops wanted to sell
unweaned babies. We thought we may never find that perfect baby. Until one
day a friend of mine told me to look in the back of Bird Talk Magazine, and
there it was. The All About Parrots ad that would change our lives. I called and
made an appointment to meet Barbara Pagano and her last available baby grey,
nicknamed Darby. We fell in love immediately.
Although Darby, now renamed Peanut, was weaned and ready at the time, Barbara
insisted we continue visiting over the next month and a half while she taught us
how to properly care for our new baby. Because of Barbara's expertise she was
able to teach us things that even books could not. She taught us
techniques in holding our bird, the different ways she may behave or react under
certain circumstance and she provided us with the history of aviculture and
parrots in captivity. And she gave us one-on-on time we needed to learn how to
actually apply the techniques we had read about. Barbara answered our many
questions and when she felt we were ready and able to care for our new baby then
she helped us with ordering the right sized cage and necessary accessories and
toys. She even set our cage up in her home to acclimate Peanut to it prior to us
bringing her home.
When it came time for us to bring our baby home we pre-arranged a vet
visit per Barbara's recommendation at a Board Certified Avian Veterinarians.
The closest to us is a one hour drive, but well worth the distance. We
brought the health guarantee she provided with us. Throughout the
examination our vet continued to remark on how clean Peanuts air sac were,
how beautiful and full her feathering was and her overall healthy status.
She was even calm being handled and manipulated during the exam and blood
work.
We have recently decided to add a baby Blue and Gold to our nest. We would
not trust any one other than Barbara Pagano. Her babies are healthy and well
loved. She is truly the most trustworthy person that we know and we recommend
her to everyone we meet and anyone interested in the addition of a parrot to
their family.
Sincerely,
